This week’s Techpinions podcast features Carolina Milanesi, Ben Bajarin and Bob O’Donnell analyzing the news from Apple’s Spring product launch event, discussing the latest quarterly earnings results from Netflix and Intel, and chatting about a new Microsoft study on work habit challenges from the pandemic. Note that this will be the last Techpinions podcast that I host as I am transitioning to my own Everything Technology podcast.

    Bob O'Donnell, the president, founder and chief analyst at TECHnalysis Research, has a lengthy, multi-faceted career in the technology business. He is widely regarded as an expert in the technology market research field and his original research and advice is used by executives in large technology firms all over the world. A little more than a year after the firm's founding, O'Donnell made it onto AR Insight's list of most influential analysts, and on several occasions, he has made it to the top 10 of that list. In addition, TECHnalysis Research was named a Best New Entrant in the Institute of Industry Analyst Relations Analyst of the Year Awards for 2015. O'Donnell was also listed as a top social media influencer on 5G in 2019, 2020 and 2022 by Onalytica and Onalytica interviewed him at the end of 2021. The same firm named him as a 2016 and 2017 top social media influencer on the topic of Virtual Reality as well. He is a prolific author and content creator as well, having written or produced over 875 different columns and podcasts during the last eight years across numerous different sites.

  • Carolina Milanesi

    Caroline is the President and Principal Analyst at Creative Strategies. Carolina has over 15 years of experience in the consumer technology industry, most recently at Creative Strategies, where since 2016, she has been focusing on a broad range of consumer technologies and services, including those that profoundly impact user behavior in an enterprise context. Her passion for user engagement and user experience drove her to increasingly spend time analyzing the future of work and employee engagement, especially as it relates to collaboration and workflows. In 2019, Carolina founded The Heart of Tech. Her newest endeavor aims to help technology providers with their corporate social responsibility efforts. She spent most of her time advising clients from investment firms, to technology providers, to traditional enterprise clients. Carolina is a regular contributor to Forbes, Fast Company and Italian daily La Stampa. She is often quoted as an industry expert and commentator in publications such as The Financial Times, Bloomberg, The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. She regularly appears on BBC, Bloomberg TV, NBC News and others.

  • Ben Bajarin

    Ben is the CEO and Principal Analyst at Creative Strategies. Ben has been with Creative Strategies, inc since 2000. He covers consumer technology, personal computing devices, semiconductors, investments, and business strategy. His research has focused on the relationship between humans and technology, seeking to understand what drives their behavior with products and services. He joined Creative Strategies after spending time at Cypress Semiconductor and then founding two startups in the late ’90s. He serves on several Industry Analyst advisory councils for leading technology companies. He maintains active engagement with Silicon Valley venture capitalists and startups. He has also given lectures at Stanford Graduate School of Business, Berkley’s Haas School of Business, and Harvard Business School.
